Bruce Baxter
Bruce is the Founder and Director of PodiatryMed. He has been a Podiatrist for over 25 years. Bruce is an active runner, cyclist and triathlete. Bruce knows many of his athlete patients frequently develop “overuse injuries” – with his understanding and experience in both medicine and sport, he can investigate the true cause of these problems and the right way to treat them.
Rebecca Gifford
Rebecca is a new generation podiatrist who has an extensive understanding of new concepts entering the field such as barefoot running. As a runner herself, she understands how frustrating unexpected injuries can be and how critical it is to manage and recover quickly from such setbacks. When she’s not in the clinic consulting with patients she is usually outdoors training for her next event.
Tania Mackay
Tania is a chartered Physiotherapist with 22 years experience, 18 of which has been focused on treating sports and musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Her focus is on diagnosing and treating both the cause and symptoms of your injury, and providing measures to prevent recurrence. She provides manual (hands –on) therapy, exercise prescription and education. She is a mother of two young daughters, and has a passion for the outdoors, especially cycling and mountain biking.
Kama Rowse
Kama is a chartered Physiotherapist from Otago University who has practiced in both Ireland and New Zealand. Kama has extensive experience in sports and musculoskeletal practices specialising in the area of sports injuries, particularly utilising biomechanical knowledge to both treat and rehabilitate injuries. She utilises clinical pilates in the rehabilitation of injuries, and in technique modifications. Kama is extensively trained in trigger point needling, and western acupuncture with the British Medical Acupuncture Society. She has a hands on proven approach to Physiotherapy treatment, while utilising exercises and technique modification to correct the cause of the injury
Bex Steele
Bex is PodiatryMed’s friendly Office Manager and Foot Care Assistant. She joins the team following 5 years experience, at the Shoe Clinic, dealing with different foot and shoe types. Bex is well placed to set your appointments and advise on the most appropriate footwear choices for you. Bex has an interest in most sports and at the moment when she is not in the clinic you will find her out on the golf course.
